Mira Monitor
The Mira Monitor is our answer to an affordable, stand mounted, two-way loudspeaker. The Mira Monitor was designed to deliver unparalleled transparency, neutrality, and dynamic contrasts, while fully capitalizg on the inherent simplicity and purity of the two-way format. Owing to it's cabinet's dual layer, constrained mode damped construction and 3" thick baffle, the Mira Monitor's surprising musical presentation will astound even the most jaded audiophile. The Mira Monitor conveys sense of "weight" and correct image proportion, as well as dynamic contrasts that are remarkable for a speaker of this stature. The Mira Monitor comes standard with a clearcoated, high gloss piano black finish.
Bass and Midrange for the Mira Monitor are provided by a nomex cone, 6½" Midbass driver, while high frequencies are handled by a Scanspeak soft dome tweeter. Because of its robust construction, this tweeter can be crossed over at a very low frequency which allows for a greatly improved driver dispersion patterns in the crossover region and improved in-room tonal characteristics and image focus. The custom built stand for the Mira Monitor is constructed from solid steel and fully welded at all joints, and finished in a low lustre black. For the discriminating listener wath a smaller room, the Mira Monitor is the perfect solution.

Mira II
The Mira is a floor standing three way design, suitable for both modest and larger rooms. The clean lines and high gloss piano black finish, coupled with side mounting of the Mira's 10 inch woofer and narrow front baffle profile, create a form which will integrate easily into any decor. Much of the success of the Mira is owed to its lineage, and the way it communicates the intimacy of voice, piano, jazz quartet, or the grandeur of a full orchestra is not lost on the seasoned music lover. True to its namesake, the Mira is quite simply, lovely.
The Mira's baffle is constructed of 3" thick MDF, while the cabinet walls are dual layer .75" MDF construction that employ constrained mode damping via a viscoelastic layer between the two .75" layers of MDF. This results in an incredibly stiff cabinet (eight times stiffer than single layer .75" inch construction) with exceptional damping characteritics. The cabinet also utilizes seven individual braces to interlock the cabinet panels together and dramatically enhance the structural integrity of the enclosure. The front baffle incorporates a laser chamfered felt inset around the midrange and tweeter to attenuate baffle reflection and minimizes diffraction effects.

Mira Grand II
The Mira Grand expands on the Mira platform to accomodate larger rooms and greater listening levels, while maintaining the slim lines of its sibling. Twin 10" woofers provide a deep and firm foundation, and are complemented by two custom 5.25" Audiotechnology midrange units and the highly regarded Scanspeak Ring Radiator tweeter. Its gracefully curved baffle profile is visually striking, yet serves the greater purpose of ensuring a smooth wave launch for the midrange units and tweeter, evidenced by the solid images it carves onto a vast soundstage. The Mira Grand's sound is immediately captivating; forceful with great rhytmic drive, yet subtly textured and complex.
The Mira Grand's dual layer constrained mode damped cabinet and solid 3 inch thick baffle contribute to this loudspeaker's coherent and uncluttered presentation. The benefits of its symmetrical D'appolito configuration include improved vertical polar response, increased dynamic range and voltage sensitivity, and reduced distortion. By virtue of its elegant form factor and luxurious piano black finish, its a lovely contribution to any audio or video system, and will be granted access to even the most discriminating decor. Most importantly though, the Mira Grand's totally natural and lifelike presentation will encourage the continued exploration of one's record collection.

Merak Center Channel
The Merak Center Channel is the perfect companion for any of our loudspeakers in a truly high end, integrated audio/video system. Bass and midrange are provided by custom Audiotechnology units, while high frequencies are handled by the Esostar tweeter. The dynamics, articulation, and tonal character of this center channel provide a coherent match with our other loudspeakers, and because of its enclosure composite construction, it has virtually no energy storage. The importance of exceptionally clean, natural midrange and high frequency registers coupled to a robust midbass cannot be understated for a center channel dure to the demanding requirements of this application.

Ankaa
New for 2008, Rockport technologies is proud to introduce the Ankaa loudspeaker. The Ankaa's triple laminated, constrained mode damped enclosure with solid 4" thick baffle provides an excellent platform for housing its custom, carbon fiber sandwich composite cone midrange, and Scanspeak's new D30 tweeter. Tonal colors and instrumental textures are faithfully rendered by the Ankaa's remarkably agile, ultra high resolution midrange and high frequency drivers, and are a perfect accompaniment to its authoritative, yet nimble lower registers. Though modest in dimension, the Ankaa's astonishing dynamic presentation and harmonic richness will surprise and thrill the listener.
Like its siblings, the Ankaa maintains a minimal frontal profile through the side mounting of its 10" bass driver, affording an unobstructed view into the incredibly lifelike soundstage that it creates. The cabinet's variable section thicknes, (up to 2½" thick) gracefully curved side panels and crowned top and front surfaces not only create an elegant form, but also endow the enclosure with enormous stiffness and minimum resonant signature. The enclosure's large sweeping chambers and ever changing baffle dimensions virtually eliminate diffraction anomalies, while the Ankaa's visually stunning, raked back form and high gloss piano black finish will be a welcome addition to any decor.

Altair
The Altair loudspeaker is for music lovers who are seeking the ultimate in a reasonably sized, yet completely full range loudspeaker. Its mirror imaged, 515 pound composite cabinets are an exquisite marriage of elegant industrial design and optimized acoustic proportion. The quality and extension of the Altairs's bass is shocking for a cabinet of these apparent dimensions, yet visually, the cabinet's high gloss automotive finish and gracefully curved form belie its actual size. The frontal area of the cabinet is also quite small with respect to its actual volume, thereby allowing an unobstructed view into the utterly lifelike soundstage that it develops.
A direct successor to the Arrakis, the Altair's drive unit complement is equally advanced as its cabinet form and construction. Each Altair houses the latest generation of drivers built specially for Rockport Technologies by Audiotechnology of Denmark. The bass, midbass, and midrange drive units all use proprietary cone profiles and carbon fiber composite construction developed by Rockport Technologies, coupled to the finest dynamisc motor systems available. The result is the highest resolution obtainable from a dynamic driver loudspeaker, combined with unsurpassed harmonic integrity and a stunning dynamic presentation.
The Altair is capable of resolving the most intricate delicacies of the musical fabric in a way that was previously associated only with electrostatics; however, the Altair also displays the correct image perspective in a manner that is exclusive territory of a point source design. Because it is a dynamic type design, large scale dynamic type design, large scale dynamic contrasts are easily rendered as well. The solidity of its presentation, singular voice with it speaks, and ability to actually communicate the artist's very intent, will make the Altair a welcome final purchase for many well traveled music enthusiasts.

Arrakis
Rockport Technologies has added a new chapter to the annals of music reproduction history - destined to become the loudspeaker against which all others will be judged, the Arrakis transcends the boundaries of believeability. The presentation ogf the Arrakis is as music itself, delicate yet expressive, raucous and unassailable, while full of complex harmonic textures and breathing with life. Vocalists and instruments have a "walk-around" dimensionality and solidity as they are projected onto a lifesized soundstage with a sense of realism that is unmatched by any loudspeaker. The utter command and ease of its presentation is unprecedented, coupled to a full range dynamic supremacy that is undeniable.
Equally arresting visually as it is sonically, the Arrakis' uncluttered contours are as elegant as they are essential. The purposeful lack of cabinet discontinuities ensures a clean wavelaunch, free from destructive diffraction effects, while its advanced composites construction prevents sonic contribution of any kind from its enclosure. At 900 pounds per channel, the cabinet is at rest and presents an ideal platform for housing its custom, variable section thickness, carbon fiber composite cone drivers, yielding the lowest resolution floor available from any direct radiator loudspeaker. The enormous surface area of the drivers, coupled with their pure pistonic behavior enables dynamic contrasts that are alarming in their realism.
The Arrakis comes standard with a unique new feature: musical realism sufficient to make you forget you're listening to a loudspeaker. every facet of the Arrakis has been designed to produce the most stunningly lifelike, natural presentation obtainable from a loudspeaker, and every opportunity has been seized to create a working masterpiece where its distinctive form is truly born of matchless function. Never before has one loudspeaker so seamlessly combined such contradictory elements as huge dynamic range and scale with intimacy and incomparable resolution - all without a vestige of compromise. For those looking for the definitive loudspeaker, your search has just ended.
